Help !!! Creepy Crawlies

This Halloween share your home with some long legged friends.  

Add a little florescent paint and a few carved pumpkins and you'll have a display all the neighborhood boys and ghouls will want to see

 

Materials Needed: Spider webbing with spiders, yellow and orange florescent spray paint.

Place webbing on newspaper outdoors and spray with yellow paint from one end to the other leaving some areas unpainted.  Spray some areas heavily so paint penetrates to center of webbing.  Now spray unpainted areas with orange paint blending some into yellow area and let dry.  Stretch over desired area for decorating and illuminate with black light.  

 

 

Materials Needed For Spider Webbed Pumpkin: (Pumpkin needs to dry for 24 hours after carving out web, before painting) Large pumpkin, black spray paint, spider web template large enough to cover front of pumpkin, tape, embossing tool, linoleum cutting kit, yellow glow in the dark acrylic paint, medicine dropper, large spider, black light.

Wash and dry pumpkin.  Spray with black paint on newspaper and let dry (may require 2 coats).  Tape spider web template onto front of pumpkin. Using the embossing tool, press pattern onto pumpkin.  You can also free hand draw spider web if able. Using a thin linoleum attachment, carve out web pattern as evenly as possible.  Wipe off any weeping with a dry cloth.  let pumpkin dry for 24 hours.  Fill medicine dropper with yellow glow in the dark paint and and run along the inside of carved areas, squeezing paint into grooves.  Wipe off any excess that gets on top of pumpkin.  You can also use a small paint brush but the medicine dropper applies a thicker amount.  Let paint dry overnight.  Place a large spider on front or on top of pumpkin and illuminate under a black light.  

Materials Needed For Silver Orange Pumpkin: Large pumpkin, Silver spray paint, orange florescent spray paint, gouging tool.  

Wash and dry pumpkin.  Spray random areas of pumpkin using silver paint.  Spray areas unpainted using orange florescent paint, blending into silver painted edges.  Let dry.  Gouge in words and/or graffiti. 

Materials Needed For Spider Carved Pumpkin: Large pumpkin, orange florescent spray paint, spider template, sharp knife for carving, embossing tool, yellow FloraLyte  

Wash and dry pumpkin.  Cut top off of pumpkin and clean out seeds and pulp.  Spray on 2-3 coats of florescent orange paint, let dry.  Tape spider template onto front of pumpkin.  Using the embossing tool, press pattern onto pumpkin.  Carve out spider pattern going all the way through pumpkin.  Place yellow FloraLyte inside and place top back on.  Illuminate with black light.  

 

Materials Needed For Poisonous Ivy: silk ivy vine, newspaper, black spray paint, yellow florescent spray paint.  

Place ivy on newspaper and spray with black paint. Spray random areas of leaves and stems with yellow florescent paint and let dry.
