Vintage-themed weddings are becoming more and more popular these days, and combining just the right elements is key for cultivating a timeless, romantic setting foryour ceremony and reception.
I occasionally use a painting (Monet is a favorite go-to of mine) or a piece of china for inspiration. This particular palette was inspired by an antique Noritake plate.
Marrying the food and decor (pardon the pun) envelopes your guests in any ambience you choose to create. Pale pink garden roses, dark purple privet berry, dark purple begonia leaf and blue succulents complement blackberry sangria and a blackberry & blueberry wedding cake. A homey, old-fashion touch is provided by the pie safe filled with raspberry, blackberry and apple pies and tied with coordinating fancy ribbons.
Details include antique blue insulators illuminated from beneath with floralytes to create a warm glow, antique blue mason jars, lots of elegant milk glass, antique furniture and old wooden boxes collected from local antique stores. These elements displayed along with drapes of burlap and satin effect a warm, rustic, vintage elegance.
